overwhelmed. Entrepreneurs don't have a productivity problem. They usually have a momentum problem. You know exactly what you need to do. Your tasks are clear, but you're stuck. You stare at your to-do list, feeling paralyzed, unable to start, and by the end of the day, you've done nothing except feel guilty about doing nothing. Here's what I want you to understand. You are not broken. You don't need another productivity system. You need to learn the task stacking method and how to build a productivity chain reaction. Hi, I'm Cindy Gordon, a self-made entrepreneur, busy mom and execution coach. I built and sold multiple digital businesses ranging from five to six figure successes. And one of the most powerful techniques that I still use today to break through the overwhelm is the momentum stack method. And before we dive in, if you are not getting my weekly productivity tips, grab them. Using the link in the show notes, you'll join over 1500 other entrepreneurs who are on my special email list. I share behind the scenes systems that I use to stay productive while running my business. In the next six minutes or so, I'm breaking down the exact system I use to build work momentum from a single tiny task. I hear from a lot of clients that. They're not confused about what they need to do. They know that they should send that proposal or create that offer or reach out to those leads, but they just can't seem to make themselves start. The overwhelm is just so intense. They're completely frozen, so they scroll. Social media, reorganize. Their desk, check their email for the 15th time, you know, do anything except the actual work that would move the business forward. And then by 4:00 PM exhaustion from doing nothing all day long. Frustrated and convince there's something wrong with them. But the reality check is there's nothing wrong. They just haven't learned how to use. Task stacking to create momentum when they're stuck, here's what most productivity advice gets wrong. It assumes that you can just start working, but sometimes when you're super overwhelmed, you just can't start. Your brain is paralyzed by the size of. What's in front of you? Completing even one tiny task releases dopamine, the same chemical that makes you feel accomplished and motivated. The small win creates energy and confidence, and that energy makes the next task feel easier to start. And that's why task stacking is so powerful for overwhelmed entrepreneurs. One task doesn't just get completed, it creates momentum for the next task, and that momentum builds upon itself. Small win leads to. Confidence. Confidence leads to starting the next task. That task gets done creating even more momentum, and before you know it, you have created a productivity chain reaction. This is completely different from habit stacking, which is about personal routines, like exercising after your morning coffee Task stacking is about business momentum. It's strategically choosing tasks that build upon each other. So that completing one naturally leads you into the next. So let me show you the Momentum stack method and how to build a productivity chain reaction, even when you're feeling stuck and overwhelmed. As always, you are gonna start with a reality check of your current state if you're paralyzed and can't start. You don't begin with your biggest task. You begin with the tiniest possible task. Something that takes five minutes or less and is so small that your brain can't resist it. This is your momentum starter. Then you need to understand the three types of tasks that stack best for entrepreneurs. Type one is quick wins, so tasks that take five to 10 minutes and create immediate visible progress. Type two is a momentum builder. These tasks naturally lead to the next action. Type three is a completion chain. These are related tasks that keep you in the same mental space. And then here's the game changer. You stack these intentionally. After you complete your tiny five minute starter task, you immediately move to the next task while the dopamine and momentum are still active and alive. So no checking email, no scrolling. Instagram, you ride that wave of energy straight into task number two. I know what you might be thinking, but Cindy, what if I get interrupted in the middle of my task stack? And that's the beauty of this method. Unlike rigid time blocking task, stacking is flexible. If you get interrupted, you just start again with another. Tiny task. I want you to make your starter task embarrassingly small, so not write a blog post. Instead, it would be something like. Open the document and write one sentence, so we're not gonna put, create an entire sales page. Instead, we're gonna say, write the headline to my sales page. Your only job is to get moving. Then you're gonna plan your stack before you need it. Don't wait until you're paralyzed to figure out what task to start with. During your power hour, and if you're not sure what that is, reference episode two 40. identify three tasks that naturally connect. Write them down. Task A is five minutes that leads to task B, which is about 15 minutes. Then that leads to task C, which is about 30 minutes when that overwhelm hits. You already know your stack, then you're gonna protect your momentum. This is critical between the tasks in your stack. Do not check email. Do not look at your phone, and do not just quickly do anything else. The momentum that you've built is fragile. One distraction can actually kill it. Move immediately from one task to the next in your stack while the energy. Is still alive. Let me give you a couple examples of how I have. Use this in the last week in my own business. So the first example is a content creation stack. So what I did is I opened my notes app. I wrote down one content idea, so that was about two minutes. Then I stacked it with writing the outline for that content. That's about 10 minutes. Then my next part of my stack was, I wrote the first paragraph that was about 15 minutes. So that totaled a 27 minute chain from getting stuck to actually getting the content drafted. Another example of how I've used this in my business is a business development type of stack. So first I started with one sentence of a pitch email that took me about three minutes. Then I stacked it with finish and send that email. That was 10 minutes. My third part of the stack was I identified the next person to reach out to, so that took me about five minutes. Fourth piece to this stack, which I drafted the email opening, which was about five minutes. So I went from frozen to having two outreach messages handled task stacking isn't about doing more, it's about building momentum with the smallest. Possible win. This method helps you create a chain reaction on what's actually important when you are feeling the most overwhelmed. One small task creates energy for the next, and that's how you go from stuck to unstoppable. If you want daily reminders.
